Agreed this is invalid. I’m getting rather tempted to pull the packaging bits of puppet out of puppet itself and having a separate repo we can update with specs, patches, documentation and such for packaging puppet. That way it could be updated more easily and be kept updated without being in lock-step with puppet.
Thoughts?

I’ve been getting better with the conf/redhat spec the suse one I have done less with. I’ll try to add that to the process too.

closing since we are well beyond 2.7.3. The spec file has been doing a better job staying updated, (or we have done a better job, either way).
