Description
I was told in IRC, and testing seems to confirm that namespaceauth.conf isn’t used in puppet 2.6.x, or at least isn’t used for puppet kick.
The puppet kick help ( https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/blob/master/lib/puppet/application/kick.rb#L84 ) claims that namespaceauth.conf is required.
In my case, changing auth.conf allowed puppet kick to work.

Have just tested this, and confirmed that it works as described in bug #6442: namespaceauth.conf isn’t consulted, but it is required.

Okay, I’ve updated defaults.rb and kick.rb on the 2.7.x branch! Updated the web versions of the manpages too, which’ll ride in on the next docs content push.
