I get this too, and I can’t find the problem at all. Fortunately, it does not seem to affect whether the report actually makes it through.

I believe this problem results from WEBrick resetting connections when it gets overloaded. Try UsingMongrel, with multiple servers, to see if it clears things up.

I get the same error on 0.23.2. It’s not WEBrick – it occurs with only one client and a limited run. But like Luke I am unable to trace it.

Marking #721 as a duplicate.

I tried to reproduce the error via the sleep mentioned in #721 but did not succeed, even sleeping for a full minute.

  • Status changed from 1 to Closed
  • 7 set to fixed

I’m confident this was a load issue, so it will get fixed as we fix the other performance problems.

Mostly, switching to Mongrel will make the biggest difference.
