Puppet

Puppet doesn’t support aptitude at the moment, so you should only be getting the strict dependencies of the package (unless apt-get has implemented recommends-install-by-default behaviour, in which case I’m going to bring down a rain of arglebargle on the apt maintainers).

I’ve added the ‘purged’ ensure value in r2223, but I’m stumped as to how to implement the —without-recommends in a clean fashion. Would it be possible for you to just use the apt provider for those packages you don’t want recommends installed for, or is there some other reason you need to use aptitude for those packages?
