Description

The supported platforms page at http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/platforms.html has the incorrect product names for the Oracle operating systems:

Oracle Enterprise Linux should be Oracle Linux Solaris should be Oracle Solaris

I checked the puppet-docs repository, but couldn’t find this page in that repo, so I couldn’t send a pull request with the fix.

Hmm, the line breaks didn’t work in the entry.

Oracle Enterprise Linux should be Oracle Linux

Solaris should be Oracle Solaris

Thanks!

Can you have a look at https://github.com/barn/puppet-docs/tree/ticket/11795/changeoracleproductnames and see if that covers it please?

If it is, I’ll submit a pull-request to hassle Nick with.

That’s great, Ben. Thanks a bunch. I’ll let the Solaris guys worry about whether or not they want to change the Solaris name. I started on that, and it gets mentioned a lot :)
